~i had to throw this one in as "the funny family" christmas card~

how lucky am i that my job lets me play with the most beautiful families. very. and even though i don't normally shoot indoors. i did. it is wisconsin you know. and when we braved it to go outside for a bit. it was only 20 degrees. brrrrr. surprisingly, it only minimally phased us. does that mean we're getting used to the cold. oh no.

anyhow

between laughing and playing and dancing and eating and more laughing

seeing the depth of love within the walls of this amazing home

it's having feet dirty enough to make you scream

it's being too small to say "please push me" but trying really hard

it's about contemplating how to make the tire swing move all on its own

it's playing hide in seek in a fire truck

it's finally being less shy around the woman with the camera

it's telling me how you got so much dirt on your face

it's telling me how you're big enough to "pump" if i give you a push

eleven cousins

i got to spend a late afternoon with all of them

it was 85 degrees outside

hot and steamy

the mosquitos thought we were dinner

they were troopers

i'd do it all over again

i love my job

i didn't notice

during the photo shoot

how

"handy"

this little guy is

but

in almost every photo

at least one of his hands

is up close to his face

even in the photos where i didn't pose him

obviously

this means something significant

don't you think

and

wow

is it just me

or do babies completely melt your heart

too

thanks baby

for being such an angel throughout our entire two hours together

and

for making me laugh

especially

at the very end of the shoot

when i handed you back to your momma

and

you peed all over everything

completely over the moon with cuteness...
